80-year-old man dies in mishap

Nagpur: Ramji Amburkar (80), a former railway employee, succumbed to his injuries on Saturday at a private hospital where he was rushed on Friday after falling from his Luna on West High Court Road. The accident took place when Amburkar was returning to his home at Shankar Nagar after paying water bill at Dharampeth NMC zone office. Police said Amburkar likely to have suffered internal head injury after the accident.One of the passers-by rushed him to a private hospital. He was later shifted to another hospital where he died.
Sitabuldi police have registered accidental death. Police said that Amburkar, prima facie, may have lost control after feeling giddy in the heat or his two-wheeler may have skidded. Cops are trying to find out whether his two-wheeler was hit by another vehicle.
