Krunal Pandya is the Man of the Match for his excellent all-round efforts
Mumbai Indians win by 80 runs
Krunal Pandya finishes things off with the wicket of Zaheer Khan. It was fitting that Krunal closed the contest after a breathtaking knock that saw Mumbai Indians post a mammoth score of 206. He followed that up with a brilliant bowling spell that saw him pick up two wickets for just fifteen runs. Delhi Daredevils had a bad day at the office when their bowlers, especially their spinners had an off day. Thei changes didn’t work at all, while everything went according to plan for Mumbai Indians. With this big win Mumbai Indians move up to third in the rankings
OUT! Imran Tahir run out 5 (7b 1×4 0x6)
Brilliant fielding from Mumbai Indians today. Tahir too slow as direct hit sees him depart
OUT! A Mishra b Bumrah 1 (5b 0x4 0x6)
Bumrah is on a clean-up job. Brilliant bowling as Mishra’s off stump is uprooted from the ground
After 15 overs, Delhi 108/6 (Chris Morris 11 , Amit Mishra 1)
Wickets have completely derailed the Delhi Daredevils chase. Mumbai Indians sniff a great chance to address their run-rate. Morris’ wicket is key for Mumbai Indians if they are to improve the run-rate
OUT! RR Pant b Bumrah 23 (17b 2×4 1×6)
Bumrah on a hat-trick.
OUT! JP Duminy c †Buttler b Bumrah 9 (9b 1×4 0x6)
Duminy top-edges a Bumrah delivery which goes right up in the air. Buttler does well to judge the ball and take a good catch
After 12 overs,Delhi 90/4 ( Rishabh Pant 20 , JP Duminy 6)
De Kock’s wicket has completely flattened Delhi Daredevils who are now looking for damage limitation more than anything. Mumbai Indians would on the other hand would be looking to wrap up the Delhi innings as early as possible and improve their run-rate
OUT! SV Samson run out 6 (11b 0x4 0x6)
Mix-up between Samson and de Kock leads to Samson having to return from more than half-way up the pitch. Harbhajan is quick to sense the opportunity as Krunal Pandya completes the run out
OUT! Q de Kock c †Buttler b Pandya 40 (28b 4×4 2×6)
Massive wicket for Mumbai Indians. The dangerman de Kock is back in the hut. Brilliant bowling from Krunal Pandya to build the pressure. What a day he is having
OUT! SV Samson run out 6 (11b 0x4 0x6)
Mix-up between Samson and de Kock leads to Samson having to return from more than half-way up the pitch. Harbhajan is quick to sense the opportunity as Krunal Pandya completes the run out
After 6 overs,Delhi 49/2 ( Quinton de Kock (W) 31 , Sanju Samson 2)
Quinton de Kock has been excellent so far and clearly Delhi Daredevils’ hopes rest on his shoulders. Most importantly, de Kock’s knock so far has been effortless and has found the boundaries without much of a risk
OUT! KK Nair c Bumrah b Harbhajan Singh 8 (8b 1×4 0x6)
Soft dismissal. Nair tries to scoop it over short fine-leg, but fails to get a telling connection as Bumrah takes a simple catch
After 3 overs,Delhi 21/1 ( Quinton de Kock (W) 11 , Karun Nair 2)
Harbhajan Singh is handed the ball for the first over, as Mumbai Indians opt for off-spin to begin their reply with the ball. Mayank Agarwal goes big in the fourth ball, hammering the fourth ball over deep square-leg to clear the rope comfortably. 10 runs conceded in the first over. Vinay is handed the ball in the second over, and gets rid of Mayank Agarwal, who gets an inside edge onto his stumps! McClenaghan has been quite disciplined as well. The problem for Delhi Daredevils is that they can’t waste many deliveries trying to get set and it won’t be easy to get going on this track
59 runs conceded by Imran Tahir - most expensive spell in this IPL. #MIvDD
— Bharath Seervi (@SeerviBharath) May 15, 2016
Bowling first backfired for Zaheer. Delhi batting doesnt have heft on paper to chase 206. But we've had some topsy turvy games so who knows!
— Cricketwallah (@cricketwallah) May 15, 2016
OUT! Length delivery from Vinay along the middle stump, and Mayank Agarwal is cramped for room, getting an inside edge onto his stumps to depart for 8. Delhi lose their first wicket with just 11 on board!
After 20 overs,Mumbai 206/4 ( Jos Buttler (W) 18 , Ambati Rayudu 13)
Brilliant comeback from Mumbai Indians after their two poor batting displays at Vishakhapatnam. Buttler and Rayudu finished the innings in style, but it was Krunal Pandya’s 86 off 37 balls was the key in derailing the Delhi Daredevils bowlers off their plans. This is only the third 200 plus score in this season’s IPL and only the first by any team other than Royal Challengers Bangalore
This is now Mumbai Indians highest total of #IPL2016

OUT! KA Pollard c †de Kock b Morris 3 (6b 0x4 0x6)
Pollard tries to scoop it over the wicket-keeper’s head but doesn’t get a good connection and is caught by the wicket-keeper
OUT! KH Pandya b Morris 86 (37b 7×4 6×6)
Great innings comes to an end. Has put Mumbai Indians in a very strong position
After 16 overs,Mumbai 161/2 ( Krunal Pandya 76 , Kieron Pollard 1)
Despite Martin Guptill’s wicket, Krunal Pandya has continued his charge and is taking Mumbai close to a big score. Delhi Daredevils are running out of ideas how to stop him
OUT! MJ Guptill c Nair b Khan 48 (42b 2×4 3×6)
Guptill fails to middle a full toss as Karun Nair takes good catch in the deep
FIFTY for Krunal Pandya! Pandya has completely changed the course of the game with hiss 22-ball half-century
After 13 overs,Mumbai 120/1 ( Martin Guptill 47 , Krunal Pandya 42)
Krunal Pandya and Martin Guptill have really taken the attack to the Delhi Daredevils and all the ghosts from the first two games at Vishakhapatnam have been buried. Both the batsman have never allowed the the Delhi bowlers to settle and Mumbai are on course for a big score
I was skeptical about Krunal Pandya being promoted to no.3 since Rayudu had shown such good form. But change in batting order working for MI
— Cricketwallah (@cricketwallah) May 15, 2016
After 10 overs,Mumbai 84/1 ( Martin Guptill 29 , Krunal Pandya 24)
Delhi Daredevils have managed to get rid of Rohit Sharma but promoting Krunal Pandya up the order has proved to be a smart thing for the Mumbai Indians. He has kept the pressure on the Delhi Daredevils as Mumbai Indians are on course to sey up a good platform for the likes of Pollard and Buttler
OUT! RG Sharma c Pant b Mishra 31 (21b 1×4 3×6)
Brilliant catch from Pant to get rid off the dangerous Rohit Sharma. Big wicket for Delhi Daredevils
After 6 overs,Mumbai 45/0 ( Rohit Sharma (C) 31 , Martin Guptill 14)
Rohit Sharma and Martin Guptill have consolidated Mumbai’s position and from a slow start, a few boundaries have made it into a pretty good powerplay. Zaheer Khan must keep an eye on the score and mustn’t allow the Mumbai Indians to get away. The wicket will get slower as the game progressed and Delhi wouldn’t want to chase a very big score
After 3 overs,Mumbai 17/0 ( Rohit Sharma (C) 15 , Martin Guptill 2)
Steady start from Mumbai Indians. The home side haven’t lost any wickets so far unlike the two previous occasions in Vishakhapatnam. Rohit Shrma has looked good so far and Guptill has looked assured.
Rohit Sharma and Martin Guptill are out to open the innings for Mumbai Indians. Delhi Daredevils to start with the spin of Nadeem
MI XI: RG Sharma, M Guptill, A Rayudu, N Rana, J Buttler, K Pollard, K Pandya, H Singh, V Kumar, M McClenaghan, J Bumrah
DD XI: Q de Kock, M Agarwal, K Nair, S Samson, R Pant, JP Duminy, C Morris, A Mishra, I Tahir, S Nadeem, Z Khan
Delhi changes! Zaheer Khan, Shahbaz Nadeem and Imran Tahir all come into the line-up in place of Jayant Yadav, Nathan Coulter-Nile and Mohammed Shami
Mumbai Indians changes! Martin Guptill and Vinay Kumar come into the side in place of Tim Southee and Unmukt Chand
Delhi Daredevils have won the toss and elected to field first at Vishakhapatnam
