Mewat Police on Sunday summoned Kurukshetra MP Raj Kunar Saini while asking him to join the investigations into a case registered at Firozpur Jhirkha police station last month.

CHANDIGARH: Mewat Police on Sunday summoned Kurukshetra MP Raj Kunar Saini while asking him to join the investigations into a case registered at Firozpur Jhirkha police station last month.
Saini and nine more persons, who include former MLA Roshan Lal Arya, join the investigation by 18 May ie Wednesday. The incident occurred on April 26 when Saini and Arya had chaired a rally of 35 communities held at Firozpur Jhirka.
According to information, the speakers, who included Raj Kumar Saini and Roshan Lal Arya, had not only spoken unparliamentary words towards Jat community but had also allegedly provoked the non-Jats while referring to reservation given to the community.

Acting on the complaint of police post in charge, a case under Sections 124A, 153a and 153 B was registered at the police station.
SP Deepak Gehlawat said that the accused MP, former MLA and others have been asked to clarify their positions.
Mewat SP also hinted at strict action in case the persons served notices failed to join the investigation by 18 May ie Wednesday.
