CHANDIGARH : This spells as Politiics in Education. The Manohar Lal Khattar led BJP government has removed Sir Chhotu Ram, Former deputy prime minister Devi Lal, ex CM Bhupinder Hooda's father RAanbir Hooda and other personalities from the moral science books of class V students studying the government schools of Haryana.
Barring Devi Lal, all the leaders are directly or indirectly linked to Congress.

This comes at the time when chapters on Geeta have been added in the text books of moral science for the students of primary and middle classes.
The decision has triggered protests in Haryana in addition to the debate by various political political parties.
Prominent among those whose names had figured in the chapter titled Haryana Ke Gaurav included first chief minister Bhagwat Dayal Sharma as well as Rao Virender Singh father of Union minister Rao Inderjit Singh.
Enquiries revealed that the chapter of Haryana ke Gaurav has been removed from Jhilmil 5. The Board has inserted Gaurav Gatha in class IV text book of Moral science where in students will be taught about freedom fighters like Sardar patel, Bhagat Singh, Sukhdev and Rajguru etc.

Officials in Elementary education department, who are associated with decision term it as the need based change in accordance to the changing trends. " Such decisions are taken by a committee wherein members include the representative of NCERT as well SCERT. This are negligible changes and books have already reached the schools," the official said. He however refused to comment further,
Notably, last changes in the curriculum was done in 2011 when EX CM Bhupinder Singh Hooda led government was in power. While including Ranbir Hooda's chapter the government had added the chapters on Ch Devi Lal and Pt Bhagwat Dayal Sharma.
Ran Maan, the former CPS and ex CM Hooda's loyalist was quick to react. "This is really shameful, but was all expected from this government whose people never had any such contribution to Haryana," he said asking that how would students by taught about the first CM of Haryana

"They are resorting to safforan agenda and are doing politics on education. This will have serious implications. Our party has already given an ultimatum to them," a senior INLD leader from Panchkula S P Singh Arora said.
