Antonio Giovinazzi of Prema Racing crashes out after being squeezed by Campos Racing's Sean Gelael

PREMA Racing's Antonio Giovinazzi was fired into the barriers at high-speed in Barcelona after a clash with Campos Racing's Sean Gelael during the GP2 Sprint Race.

Going wheel-to-wheel on the back straight, Gelael moved across on the Italian, forcing him onto the grass and into a spin at one of the quickest points on the circuit.

There was little retardation for Giovinazzi as the car skipped along the surface, tagging the Rapax of Arthur Pic before bouncing through the gravel and hitting the wall on the outside of Turn 10.

A little shaken, the 22-year-old Italian gingerly exited his car, but thankfully walked away from the incident.

The incident brought out the Safety Car and the race would remain under caution to the end, with Britain's Alex Lynn taking his first victory of the season.
