Woman held for creating ruckus at IAS officer's house

A woman created ruckus at the residence of an IAS officer here on Friday evening. On the complaint of IAS's wife, a case was later registered at Habibganj police station. Police said the woman entered the bungalow of IAS in Char Imli, misbehaved with the guard and created ruckus. She is a contractual worker in health department and demanded regularisation.

Bhopal: A woman created ruckus at the residence of an IAS officer here on Friday evening. On the complaint of IAS's wife, a case was later registered at Habibganj police station. Police said the woman entered the bungalow of IAS in Char Imli, misbehaved with the guard and created ruckus. She is a contractual worker in health department and demanded regularisation.

The IAS officer, who was mission director of National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) till a few days back, is now posted elsewhere. Police said that the woman has been arrested on Saturday.
Two arrested for cricket betting: Two persons, including a middle aged man, have been arrested for accepting bets on IPL matches in Bhopal on Friday. Crime Branch detected the betting racket.
Seven mobile phones and satta slips with transaction worth Rs 5 lakh besides other things like television and set-top box were recovered. Cops said accused were arrested from a house in Minal Residency and are being interrogated to unearth their network. Accused have been identified as Rajendra Sharma, 50, a resident of B-79, old Minal Residency and his accomplice, Prayag, 28, a resident of old Ashoka Garden.
Girl commits suicide: A 21-year-old girl committed suicide by hanging herself here on Friday. A case was later registered at Ashoka Garden police station. Police said Reenu, daughter of Babulal, resided in Shankar Gardens. Her father is a retired constable from 23rd battalion of SAF.
