JAMMU, May 14:  Charging the PDP-BJP Government with failure on all fronts, former Minister and senior National Conference leader   Ajay Sadhotra today alleged that the ruling coalition was anti-Kissans, anti-youth and anti-poor in its policies.
He was addressing NC workers at Marh, during their meeting, organized by  Thakur Chagar Singh, local NC leader.
Mr Sadhotra said that the farmers were feeling depressed and insecure while living miserable life due to sky touching rates of fertilizers and seeds. “They (farmers) are getting very meager return of their produce so much so there is no mechanism on the part of Government to procure the produce of the farmers. Standing crops of vegetables are being ploughed as there is no provision of support price to the farmers,” he said.
Further, the NC leader added, the PDP-BJP Government has no employment policy for the youth who were being pushed towards wall, which was very dangerous trend.  He further alleged that PDP-BJP Government was ignoring the poor people who deserve old age and widow pensions besides ration, which is not being given to them.
“Since PDP-BJP Government has come to power and introduced National Food Security Act (NFSA), it has created chaos and the deserving people are being ignored. Government is making frequent statements on ration quota to individuals but on the ground common people are facing lot of difficulties. There is mess in preparation of Ration Cards,” he alleged.
Maintaining that National Conference was committed to mitigate the problems of Kissans, youth and poor people, Mr Sadhotra asked the people to strengthen the hands of Dr Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah.
In the meeting, the workers also highlighted the problems being faced by the common people of the Marh block.
Those who spoke on the occasion, included Thakur Chagar Singh, Master Prem Saini, Master Paras Ram, Piar Singh Sarpanch, Sub Ghasita Ram, Charan Dass Bhagat, Ch. Keemat Lal Sarpanch, S Inderpal Singh   Sarpanch, Narinder Singh Sarpanch, Sub Major, Mangal Dass, Raman Singh and others.
