Stationery shop gutted in fire near Kuber Bhavan

Vadodara: Goods worth lakhs of rupees were gutted in fire after a stationery shop near Kuber Bhavan got engulfed in fire on Saturday morning. The incident took place at around 4 am. According to the fire brigade, an electrical short circuit triggered the fire at Shree Copy Centre.
The fire was doused in about an hour's time. Fixtures including refrigerators were gutted in the fire.No casualty was reported due to the fire.
"The primary cause seems to be electrical short circuit as the switch boards were entirely gutted. Fortunately, no one was present in the shop when the fire broke out. Eight fire fighters were used to douse the fire," said fire officer Manish Mod.
