Bengaluru: Two Sudanese students were killed on the spot after they came under a speeding truck near Kasturinagar in KR Puram, east Bengaluru, on Saturday morning.
According to police, the accident happened around 6.45 am when Abdul Rahman Mubarak and Awap Khalifa, MBA students of Acharya College and residents of Ramamurthynagar, were going by a KTM bike.
As Mubarak tried to overtake a truck, "he lost control of the bike and skidded off the road. The truck driver also failed to control his vehicle and the duo came under its wheels," police said.
Truck driver fled from the spot. "Both vehicles were speeding. We don't think Mubarak and Khalifa were wearing helmets. Students often indulge in drag racing on this road. We are investigating whether these two were indulging in such extreme stunts," traffic police said.
