PATNA: Bihar CM Nitish Kumar on Saturday paid floral tribute to his wife Manju Sinha on her 9th death anniversary.
He garlanded the statue of his wife at the Manju Sinha Smriti Park at Kankarbagh in the state capital and at the Kaviraj Ram Lakhan Singh Smriti Park at his native Kalyanbigha village in Harnaut block of Nalanda district. Kumar's wife died in 2007. She got married to Nitish Kumar in 1973.
Nitish also garlanded the statues of his freedom fighter father Kaviraj Ramlakhan Singh and mother Parmeshwari Devi at village Kalyanbigha.

Kumar's lone son Nishant Kumar, elder brother Satish Kumar, Bhabhi Geeta Kumari, elder sister Usha Devi, younger sister Indu Kumari and CM’s several other close relatives also paid tributes to Manju Sinha at Kalyanbigha-based Park.
He later visited a Devi Mandir of his ancestors at Kalyanbigha and prayed for peace and prosperity of the state. The CM stayed in his village for nearly half-an-hour and interacted with the locals. He inquired from several villagers about their well-being.
