Sultan of Perak launches Perak Agrotourism resort in Tanjung Tualang

KAMPAR: The Sultan of Perak, Sultan Nazrin Shah officiated at the opening of the Perak Agrotourism Resort (PATRO) in Tanjung Tualang, near here, today.
PATRO, initiated by the Perak State Agriculture Development Corporation (SADC), offers a unique combination of agriculture and nature tourism in a 271.1ha site, capable of attracting tourists to the state.
Nestled in the midst of nature, PATRO also offers chalet accommodations combining traditional and modern facilities which could generate increased tourism revenue for the state.
Extreme sports such as abseiling, biking, paintball and water sports like as kayaking and paddling are among leisure activities available at PATRO.
During the visit, Sultan Nazrin was accompanied by Raja Permaisuri Perak Tuanku Zara Salim, Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Dr Zambry Abd Kadir and his wife, Datin Seri Saripah Zulkifli.
After the opening ceremony, Sultan Nazrin and Tuanku Zara went around to take a closer look at the herb garden, 'kelulut' honey bee production, chili farming using fertigation system and salted egg processing. — Bernama
