Three HNLC, one ULFA militants arrested in Meghalaya

Shillong, May 14 (UNI) Meghalaya Police have arrested four militants, including three Hynniewtrep National Liberation Council (HNLC) cadre, after their plan to carry out terror attacks here failed, police said today.
Inspector General of Police in-charge Operations, GHP Raju said the militants were arrested from Pynursla area in East Khasi Hills district while they were proceeding towards the international border with the intention flee to Bangladesh. The fourth rebel was a senior cadre of the United Liberation Front of Asom- Independent (ULFA-I).
Among them one was identified as Bikhat Ahom alias Smam of Assam's Bongaigaon Dolaigaon area.
