anniversary

with party

When Windmills started in April 2015, it promised to make the old school new again.

The programme, which is aired on KOOL 97 FM, has lived up to its promise.

In recognition of the landmark, Windmills' host Norman Marsh, will be hosting a free party at the Alibi beside MegaMart, Waterloo Road, in Kingston on Sunday.

Reflecting on the show's first year, Marsh said it creates a perfect start to the week on Monday nights, with soulful ballads from the 70s and 80s.

"Apart from mood setting, relaxing, soothing music, I am bringing back the days of just playing music, no talk," said Marsh, who has been in media for more than 40 years. "Listeners tune in to hear good music which seamlessly transition one into the other. They are not interested in hearing me talk especially when they are winding down from a stressful day, and that is just what Windmills offers."
