Admission season begins for MSW in Karve Institute of Social Service

Karve Institute of Social Service, educational institute, affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University, has commenced its admissions process for Master of Social Work (MSW) programme. This course is full-time, four semester module with choice based credit system.

PUNE: Karve Institute of Social Service, educational institute, affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University, has commenced its admissions process for Master of Social Work (MSW) programme. This course is full-time, four semester module with choice based credit system.
“The admissions to MSW programme are given to candidates only after qualifying a national level entrance examination.
Admission forms are available online - on website www.karve-institute.org and in the college office, during office hours. The last date of submission of forms is June 15. The entrance exam will be held on June 28 and finally interviews and group discussion will be held on June 30. Graduates from any faculty or those who appeared for degree exam this year can also apply and appear for the entrance test. Savitribai Phule Pune University degree holders are given preference as per rule,” said director Deepak Walokar.
MSW degree has career prospects in different sectors such as social development, family and child welfare, medical & health, community development, industry, and CSR - Corporate Social Responsibility etc. family and child welfare. In medical & health sector they can also work in hospitals, psychiatric social worker and children’s clinic and health care management etc. In human resource sector they can work as labour welfare, personnel officers, etc. In Urban & Rural Development sector they can work in community development projects, as co-ordinaters, field officers, research associates etc.
