Donal Flynn, the ESB's group Finance Director, is to leave the company to join Glen Dimplex as its Chief Financial Officer.
ESB said the process to appoint Mr Flynn's successor will begin immediately and he will continue in his present role to facilitate the transition.
Before joining ESB in August 2010, Mr Flynn was CFO with SSE Airtricity and held a number of finance roles in General Electric.
