Mancini's Inter Milan future key to Zlatan Ibrahimovic return - Moratti

Inter Milan's honorary president Massimo Moratti said that the club will have to decide on head coach Roberto Mancini's future, before any potential move for PSG's Swedish striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic can be considered.

The former Manchester City manager had a good start at the club only to see his team's Serie A and UEFA Champions League challenge fade away in recent months, leaving the Nerazzurri with a trophy-less end to the season.

Ibrahimovic, 34, will be out of contract at the end of the season with the Ligue 1 giants, and the striker has been linked with a number of clubs like Manchester United, AC Milan and even LA Galaxy.

And while a report from Sky Italia journalist Alessandro Alciato, claimed that Ibrahimovic is "90 percent" certain to opt for a new adventure in the MLS with Galaxy, Moratti reckons Inter still have a chance of bringing the striker back to Italy, only if they sort out Mancini's future first.

Moratti told FCInterNews.com: "A lot will depend on the choices Inter make with the coach,

"As well as many other aspects, such as the possible need to have a player of such quality.

"But I cannot put myself in the shoes of others, now is totally different to 2006 [when Inter first signed Ibrahimovic]."

The Swede played for Inter from 2006 to 2009 where he won the Serie A title thrice, scoring 57 goals in 88 appearances.
