Hyderabad: A former Wipro employee and his two accomplices were arrested by Task Force sleuths for operating a fake certificate racket on Thursday.
Task Force officials said Sheik Meera Basha, a B Tech graduate and a native of Nalgonda, was a former Wipro employee. Not satisfied with salary, he had quit his job and joined another software company, but there too he was not happy with his pay.

"Then, he hatched a plan to prepare and supply fake education degrees to earn easy money. He learned Photoshop and on the guidance of his former colleague Aravind, he started arranging fake, fabricated educational certificates to needy customers. He used to collect between Rs 40,000 to 45,000 from each candidate," police said in an official release issued here on Thursday. He illegally procured three rubber stamps of Osmania University through one G Chandrasekhar. The two were arrested from SR Nagar.
In a similar case, a former agent D Saibaba of Citi Bank, GE Capital, who was into providing loans, was arrested for preparing and supplying fake education certificates. Sai Baba, a resident of Madannapet, also learned Photoshop and fabricated certificates of various universities. In both cases, police recovered 136 fake certificates.
