Legacy Of Photojournalism— The Deepak Puri Collection

On display are photographs shot by Deepak Puri, who was photo editor of the Time magazine, Raghu Rai and 49 others, including James Nachtwey and John Stanmeyer. The exhibition has been organized by Tasveer, an organization that promotes photography, in collaboration with the Bengaluru-based Museum of Art and Photography (MAP).

Soy Cuba (I Am Cuba)

Directed by Mikhail Kalatozov, this Spanish film is set in the days leading up to the Cuban revolution (1953-59). It weaves in four stories that narrate the problems Cubans faced in the pre-revolution days. The film is subtitled in English.

City-based danseuse Sanhita Basu Ghose will conduct a 15-day Odissi workshop, organized by the Konarak Odissi Dance Academy. The workshop will explain the origin and history of the classical dance form, as well as the basics of the dance. Those aged 10 and above can participate. No prior training in dance is necessary.
