Belgian Red Devils fans get their own app

10:58 11/05/2016

The Royal Belgian Football Association (URBSFA) has developed an app for the biggest fans of Belgium's national team, writes Het Nieuwsblad. The free application 'Belgian Red Devils powered by Proximus' launches today at 12.00.

"We've communicated about the Red Devils online since 2012, on Facebook and Twitter. And now, for the first time, we have our own digital communication channel,” communications director Bob Madou told the newspaper.

The new app is informative, first and foremost, said Madou. It gathers tweets, information from the website and videos from the Red Devils Youtube Channel in one place. There is a calendar to keep fans up-to-date on all matches and trainings, with the option to add important dates to their own agenda. The Match Center provides real-time game information during the match, while the 1895 Fan Guide gives supporters practical information about attending a match abroad.

The app, developed by software company EASI, is available in Dutch, French and English. It can be downloaded for use on Android and iOS.
