Day 2: Telangana takes the stage by storm, Gujarat follows
Indore: Indoreans were left mesmerised as they witnessed a group from Telangana chanting Shiv Puran at Malwa Utsav on Wednesday.
"People from all walks of life are coming to the Utsav and are enjoying food and cultural programs that are being presented every day," said Nitin Tapadiya, Media Convenor of the event.
Visiting the event every year, Ruby Jaiswal, who was here with her kids said, "The kids have studied about the different cultures and traditions of the country but never got a chance to witness them.
Events like this make them feel more connected to the country and made them realise the richness of Indian culture which otherwise they would have missed."
"The event saw a footfall of around 25,000 people," said Shankar Lalwani, organiser of the event.
"Various workshops of painting, wire work, mud sculptures and making articles from paper mache also commenced on Wednesday," said Ritesh Patni.
"I dress and present myself in a different form every day so that people get to know more about the cultural adversities our motherland offers" said an artist from Gujarat (Halol), Sikander.
"Children especially need to know about all these things which otherwise are just read and forgotten," added, Sikander who was dressed as Lord Shiva.
