Karachi: Three injured as MQM, Haqiqi workers clash in Landhi

Brawl was dispelled after successful negotiation between police, MQM and Haqiqi workers.

KARACHI (Dunya News) – Three people were injured late Wednesday night as workers of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Muhajir Qaumi Movement (MQM) Haqiqi clashed with one another outside a police station in Landhi Number 4 area.

According to the details, confrontation between the rival groups occurred when MQM leader Asif Husnain reached Landhi police station accompanied by a large group of party workers upon which a brawl started between the two.

Three people were injured by firing. A heavy contingent of police arrived at the scene and dispelled the brawling workers.

According to Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Korangi, both groups have submitted applications regarding the incident. Action will be taken against the instigators by law.

The fighting party workers were finally dispelled after a successful negotiation between the police, MQM and Haqiqi workers.
