Cellcity introduces MEIZU smartphones to Sri Lanka

Smartphone use in Sri Lanka continues to grow among consumers. There has also been a change in the popularity of certain handsets, with a marked shift towards Android based-phones, which provides for a wide range of pricing points.

Cellcity Lanka Ltd. recognised as one of the best mobile service providers in the country, recently launched MEIZU smartphones to cater the mid-to-high range smartphone market in Sri Lanka. The launch event was held at Cinnamon Grand, Colombo.

The flagship MX5 device comes with 3GB RAM and 16/32/64GB internal memory options, and packs in a 3150 mAh battery which will account for about 2 days on moderate usage and also has the additional advantage of mCharge quick charging technology which can charge the phone up to 50% in less than half an hour. With a 21-mega-pixel rear camera, this phone is not at all far behind for the avid photographer.

Running Flyme OS based on Android 5.1 Lollipop and the Helio P10 processor, the dual nano-SIM MEIZU m3 note sports a 5.5-inch full-HD display. With the 4100 mAh battery, power is expected to last for 2 days under normal use. The variant demonstrates the breakthrough 3D Press technology, which allows full use of app services without even needing to open it, as well as fingerprint recognition and fast charging.

Powered by the Mediatek Quad core A53 processor and a 2GB RAM, the MEIZU m2 note provides a snappy user experience while multi-tasking and impresses with gaming performance, making it one of the best budget phablets available. It sports a 13-mega-pixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with new FotoNation 2.0 smart selfie enhancement system. The device comes with Dual SIM, and also supports 4G.
