JW Lees, whose beers include Manchester Pale Ale, Governor and Moonraker, has recruited its first director of people to sit on its management board.
Nik Waring, who is due to join on 1 June 2016, will head up people development and HR at the business.
Waring joins from webuyanycar.com after starting her career at Asda and later moving onto Heinz.

Founded in 1828, the family owned brewery is headquartered in Middleton.
