Manoj Bajpayee is glad Bollywood stars are now doing realistic cinema

Manoj Bajpayee has been known for his hard-hitting choice of roles in movies, be it in 'Raajneeti' or 'Aligarh'. The actor, who has rarely been seen in typical Bollywood masala entertainers, has always been the torch bearer for realistic cinema. In an interview with a daily, Manoj revealed how happy he is to see mainstream actors too taking up unconventional roles today.
He said, 'Films on realistic subjects have always been a big part of my career. I am glad that now even big stars are choosing to be part of these stories. This is a new development, which is great. These stars feel that more people will be able to relate to these films as the situations are very real and relatable. At the same time, when the mainstream actors choose these films, the stories reach to a wider audience.'
When asked which actors he sees potential in, from the current generation, he said, "Rajkummar Rao and Vicky Kaushal... I like them and their acting skills. I think they are doing some fabulous work. I really hope and pray that they get their due in the industry. They are honest actors. They are in the industry at the right time, a time when there is enough work for them."
