Watch movie Pather Panchali

The department of information and public relations, Karnataka Film Academy and Mysore Film Society will screen the movie 'Pather Panchali' directed by Satyajit Ray at Kalamandira on May 12, from 6pm. The screening is part of the department's popular 'Cinema Samaya' programme. The 126-minute Bengali language film was released in 1955. Entry will be open for the public.

Rehab centre for senior citizens: Revenue and district Minister V Srinivas Prasad will inaugurate the rehabilitation centre for senior citizens set up inside the premises of Brahmasri Narayanaguru Yogamandira at Kuvempunagar 2nd stage on May 13 at 11am. The centre is being set up jointly by the district administration, department of women and child, department for empowerment of differently-abled and senior citizens and rural development and training centre.
