IPL betting racket busted, 9 held

Kishanganj police have busted a satta racket being run in a colony behind the College of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry on Monday night. Nine persons have been arrested.

Mhow: Kishanganj police have busted a satta racket being run in a colony behind the College of Veterinary Sciences and Animal Husbandry on Monday night. Nine persons have been arrested.
Sub Inspector Diwan Singh Tomar said that they received a tip-off about IPL batting racket being operated from a house in Shanti Vihar colony situated in Bhorkhedi village since IPL cricket matches have started.

Acting promptly on the information, a police team was constituted and raided the house. Police entered through the terrace and caught them red-handed.
Police arrested all the accused and recovered three laptops and 52 mobile phones from their possession.
The accused have been identified as Ajay, Shivkumar, Lokesh, Tejnarayan, Satish, Mohit, Rajesh, Saurabh and Mahesh, all residents of Mhow.
A case has been registered against them. They were produced in the court and were later released on bail.
