DSS to organise Prabudh Bharat Sankalp Dina on Saturday

The Karnataka Dalit Sangharsh Samiti (Ambedkarvada) will organise a Prabudh Bharat Swabhiman Sankalp Dina to mark the 125th birth anniversary of B.R. Ambedkar here on Saturday.

Addressing presspersons here on Tuesday, Sundar Master, organising secretary of the State unit of the samiti, said that delegates from seven districts coming under the Mysuru division will participate in the event. A procession will be taken out from the Board High School here at 2 p.m. It will culminate at the Ambedkar Bhavan at Adiudupi here at 4 p.m., where a conference will be held.

S. Siddaraju, Deputy Commissioner of Police, Bengaluru, will inaugurate the conference. Mavalli Shankar, chief convener of the State unit of the samiti, will deliver the keynote address. Jogan Shankar, vice-chancellor of Kuvempu University, will be among the chief guests, Mr. Sundar Master said.

S.S. Prasad, Hovappa Master, S. Vijay, Rajendranath, Lokesh Padubidri and Bhaskar Master, DSS leaders, were present.
