BBIA flays BSNL for its poor services

Excelsior Correspondent
JAMMU, May 10:  Bari Brahmana Industries Association (BBIA)  has strongly criticised the BSNL authorities for the worst ever services of the company in this Industrial area of district Samba.
In a meeting of the members of the Bari Brahmana Industries Association, held  here today under the chairmanship of  Lalit Mahajan, president of the Association,  the members expressed strong resentment over the poor quality of land line and Mobile phone services of BSNL in the Industrial complex.
The members present in the meeting raised serious concern over the frequent disturbances in the Mobile network due to  call dropping and the poor maintenance of existing land line services and the non- availability of the spare parts in the Telephone Exchange due to which the Internet service remains effected during the working hours on regular basis.  They said at present the Mobile calls are  being fed by the tower located in the Birpur for the half of the  Industrial Complex and in case of any breakdown in the service from the said tower, the Mobile network remains snapped.
They pointed out that now a days, all the working of the Industrial units depends on internet services and  mobile phones but the service of BSNL network is so poor that while discussing important issues on mobile, the signal disturbs frequently resulting problems to the  member units and  some time there is so much distortion that it becomes impossible to talk with each other. Even the working of the broad band connections for Internet is always a problem in Bari Brahmana area as it is usually not working throughout the day and gets break due to poor maintenance and non availability of data cards for replacement.
The members informed the president that in spite of repeated requests and reminders the Department did not take any step to solve the issue which shows the casual attitude of the Department.
It is further decided in the meeting that if the department did not take an appropriate action to solve the  problem immediately,  all the members of BBIA will surrender their SIM cards and land line connections to department and avail the services of the private Telecom operators.
BBIA requested the Chief General Manager of BSNL, J&K Circle  to look into the matter urgently to resolve the issue which will provide relief to the Industrial units of Bari Brahmana.
The meeting was also attended by Rahul Bansal, Varun Singla, Ajay Langer and Viraaj Malhotra-all office bearers.
