No women cop found in Pinjore police station

Chief judicial magistrate (CJM) and District Legal Services Authority secretary on Tuesday found no women cop in the Pinjore police station and issued instructions to the assistant commissioner of police (ACP) to appoint at least one woman cop.

Panchkula: Chief judicial magistrate (CJM) and District Legal Services Authority secretary on Tuesday found no women cop in the Pinjore police station and issued instructions to the assistant commissioner of police (ACP) to appoint at least one woman cop.
According to Nidhi Bansal, she said she along with her team was in Kalka court for official work and conducted a surprise visit to Kalka and Pinjore police stations at 12 noon.

Kalka had only one woman constable appointed in the station. She called up Kalka ACP Rajesh Kumar, who informed they send all the cases of crime against woman to the women police station.
Bansal said, "There must be one woman cop in each police station who will assist the victims of crime against women and there is a need of display boards with contact numbers of our advocates who can be contacted."
Kumar said, "In case of crime against woman, we seek help from the women police station and an officer comes for the help of the needy woman." The CJM asked cops to send the FIR copies to the District Legal Services Authority office so that they can also look into the types of crimes and other problem.
