Vaghela raises doubts over PM's degree

Ahmedabad, May 10 (UNI) Leader of the Opposition in Gujarat Assembly and former chief minister Shankarsinh Vaghela today raised doubts over veracity of the post graduate degree of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“As many as 70 reminders from different people in the past have been submitted to Gujarat University under RTI, seeking educational qualifications (of Prime Minister). Everytime, it was said that the information was private and confidential and could not be shared. How come now the Gujarat University has made the degree and marksheets public? What about the confidentiality?,” Mr Vaghela said at a press conference.
Gujarat University, in response to the directive of Central Information Commission (CIC), had on May 1, claimed that Mr Modi had completed his post-graduation in political science from Gujarat University in 1983 and had scored 62.3 per cent as an external student.
