Surat: After three days of scorching heat, hill station of Saputara and district headquarters of Dangs, Ahwa, recorded a spell of unseasonal rains on Monday evening. However, the rains were restricted to these two places.
Official sources in Dangs said that the showers lasted nearly 20 minutes in Saputara and Ahwa, bringing respite to citizens. However, after the rains stopped the atmosphere became sultry.
"The rainfall was not heavy.
It didn't damage any crops as this part generally doesn't have any summer cultivation," said a district official.
They also said that eastern parts of Dangs like Subir and Wagai didn't record any rains on Monday.
