A Kannada drama titled 'Illi dharma devathe' will be presented at Don Bosco hall on Tuesday at 3pm to commemorate Basava Jayanti. The Kannada and culture department, Lakumi drama troupe and Sri Sathyanarayana Kannada Kala Balaga will present the drama.

Tulu drama: A team of 30 rural women and children will stage a Tulu drama titled 'Sunnada Kala' at Town Hall on Thursday. The drama, directed by Chandrahasa Ullal, will be presented by Divyashakti Mahila Mandala, Ullal and Karnataka Tulu Sahitya Academy. Veteran theatre artist Sadananda Suvarna, Tulu Sahitya Academy chairperson Janaki Brahmavara, litterateur N Damodara Shetty, Rangabhoomi general secretary Pradeepchandra Kuthpady and theatre artist U Mohanchandra will be the guests.
Railway inspection: Konkan Railway carried out a pre-monsoon inspection of the KR route between Roha and Thokur. The inspection was carried out on May 6 and 7 by the commissioner of railway safety, the chairman and managing director of Konkan Railway, heads of departments and regional railway managers. Sushil Chandra, CRS (Central and Western Circle); Sanjay Gupta, CMD/KRCL; and Rajendra Kumar, director (Way and Works) were among those present.
Yuva Sangeethotsava: Bharatiya Vidyabhavan and Sangeetha Parishath will organize 'yuva sangeethotsava' at Raveendra Kalabhavan, Hampankatta, on May 15. Classical singers Karthik Narayan from Chennai, Bhoomika Madhusoodan from Bengaluru and Rao R Sharath from Mysuru will present the concert. Artists Pradesh Achar, Ganaraj Karle (violin), Anirudh Bhat, Raghu Bhagavath and Adamya (mridangam) will accompany the singers.

Khader's campaigning: KPCC president G Parameshwara directed health and family welfare minister U T Khader to campaign for Congress candidates contesting in assembly elections in the Ernakulam district of Kerala. The schedule of the election campaign for Khader will be finalized by Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee president V M Sudheeran, a statement said.
