Bhagmati is a modern-day thriller; not a period drama based on the Hyderabad queen: Anushka

With Rajamouli and co taking a summer break before resuming the shooting of Bahubali sequel, Anushka Shetty seems to have finally found the time to think about her upcoming project, the much-talked about Bhagmati. ���I���ve had time for nothing else for so long now. But as soon as I wrap up my current commitments, I want to focus on Bhagmati,��� says Anushka Shetty, who is busy doing look tests these days.
Dismissing reports that suggest that Bhagmati is based on the 17th century mystic Hindu wife of Quli Qutb Shah, Anushka clarifies, ���I know a lot of people have been thinking that this is a period film on the historic Bhagmati of Hyderabad. But that���s not true. It���s a modern day thriller.��� Speaking about her role in the film to be directed by Ashok of Pilla Zamindar fame, she adds, ���The plot revolves around my character. There will be a lot of other important characters as well, but those details aren���t finalised yet. We will begin work on it soon.���
