Minister for Agriculture, Mr Ghulam Nabi Lone Hanjura today said Chief Minister, Ms Mehbooba Mufti has come with a new vision and fresh resolve to pull Jammu and Kashmir out of the morass and transform the socio-economic condition of the people.Addressing a series of public gatherings during his week-long tour of Chrar-e-Sharief Constituency, which concluded today, the Minister said that development of tourism infrastructure is one of the topmost priorities of the Government and the tourist spots of Chrar-e-Sharief constituency will also get focused attention.During the extensive tour, the Minister visited various areas included Branpathri, Bonyar, Boonan, Kanir, Chradipora, Rangar, Namtihal, Branwar, Watkaloo, Choudhry Gund, Dardipora, Dalipora, Malpora and Nagam villages to take on the spot review of the progress of various development works besides listening to the public grievances.District Development Commissioner, Budgam Mir Altaf Ahmad and senior officers of district administration accompanied the Minister during his tour.Several deputations met the Minister during his tour and apprised him about their individual and collective problems. These included construction of lanes, drains, protection bunds, playing fields, culverts and Receiving Stations, replacement of damaged transformers, improvement in HT & LT lines. The Minister gave a patient hearing and assured them that their genuine demands would be solved in a phased manner. He, however, in some cases, gave on-the-spot directions to the concerned for immediate redressal of public grievences.

The Minister also gave directions for preparing estimates for construction and development of playing filed at Dardipora. He also instructed for construction of protection bunds on Nallah Tulibrung and Doodganga. Mr. Hanjura also instructed the Flood Control department to prepare Detailed Project Reports (DPRs) for construction of protection bunds on Apzeri Nallah and submit the same to the concerned quarters for accord of necessary approval.Addressing a series of public gatherings at different places, Mr. Hanjura announced various developmental projects including construction of Receiving Stations. He also announced construction of new Water Supply Schemes at Watkaloo, Shanderpora, Dardipora Tilsara, Koran, Nowhar and Kotibal.Reiterating the Government’s resolve to develop Yousmarg as a cherished tourism destination, the Minister said that several projects including construction of Cable Car, Golf Course, Amazement Park, Bridge over Doodganga Nallah and other developmental works are underway. He said the completion of these projects will change the socio-economic condition of the people living in Chrar-e-Sharief constituency and provide ample opportunity of employment to educated unemployed youth of the area.Mr. Hanjura said that Neelnag will be developed on modern lines and said that it was the dream of the former Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed to develop Chrar-e-Sharief as a model Constituency. He said the promises made by the Government during Assembly Elections 2014 will be fulfilled. He said Chief Minister Ms. Mehbooba Mufti has a vision to carry forward the mission of Late Mufti Sahab.During his tour, the Minister distributed Soil Health Cards among the farmers of Chrar-e-Sharief Constituency at Dalipora Nagam.
