Entertainment » OtherPosted at: May 9 2016 9:48AM Nine killed, 18 injured as lorry hit stationary vanTuticorin, Tamil Nadu May 9 (UNI) Nine persons, including four children were killed and 18 others injured, few of them seriously, when a speeding lorry rammed into a stationary van at Thapathi village near Ettayapuram in the wee hours of today. Police said the occupants of the ill-fated van were returning to their native Irukkankudi village in Virudhunagar district after attending a condolence function in Tuticorin. The accident occurred when one of the tyres of the van punctured and the driver parked the vehicle on the roadside to replace it with another tyre. The occupants of the van were asleep.
