A team of Gandhinagar police's local crime branch (LCB) caught two men and a woman for working as conduit for robbing a man of Rs 10,000 near Adalaj on May 6.

Ahmedabad: A team of Gandhinagar police's local crime branch (LCB) caught two men and a woman for working as conduit for robbing a man of Rs 10,000 near Adalaj on May 6. Police have started investigation whether the accused are involved in cases with similar modus operandi earlier.
According to LCB officials, a youth had given lift to a girl from Tarapur crossroads to Adalaj on night of May 6.
According to the complaint, the girl then enticed the youth and led him to a desolate spot. Soon after they reached at the spot, a vehicle came on the spot and two men, identifying themselves as police, asked him to accompany them. The youth was forced to pay Rs 10,000 for which he had registered a complaint with Adalaj police the following day.
"A team had got information that the SUV matching the number in complaint was parked at Randheja. Working on information, a team reached the spot and inquired about the owner of the vehicle when they got to know that it belonged to Kunal Makwana, a resident of Vijapur. It was parked at his relative Naresh Parmar's residence. They were involved along with Kavita Dantani, a resident of Sargasan," said a police official.
