Bhumika Singh, a global pageant finalist and a graduate of a Canadian film school, is elated that her short film, The Wait, has been selected for a couple of international film festivals, in India and abroad.

Bhumika Singh, a global pageant finalist and a graduate of a Canadian film school, is elated that her short film, The Wait, has been selected for a couple of international film festivals, in India and abroad. She says, 'The thought of loving someone to infinity and beyond appealed to me at the first narration. And I'm glad it's taking me places.'
The festival secretary of an Indian film festival observed, 'The colours of life, even in the face of pain in the film appealed to us, as did the protagonist's fresh appeal.' Festival director of an Australian film festival added, 'We loved the film at the concept level and the fact that it was by a first-time director who was introducing the actor.
The performance touched a chord.'
Anusha Srinivasan Iyer, director of the short, says, 'Bhumika is a natural and gets into the character with effortless ease. The Wait is a silent film which follows the protagonist on her endless journey. With her talent and dedication, I'm sure this is just the beginning for her.' Bhumika, who has a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Financial Management, is also an ambassador for charity that aims to have beauty with
a purpose.
