‘Freezing’ weight loss method actually made woman fatter: suit

A woman trying to freeze the fat off her thighs ended up making them fatter, according to a lawsuit.

CoolSculpting, which claims to freeze fat cells without damaging the surrounding skin, was supposed to help 39-year-old Narveen Dosanjh, of Manhattan, shape her legs without surgery.

Instead, the December 2013 procedure left her thighs bigger than before, she claims in a $10 million lawsuit in Manhattan federal court.

She claims Zeltiq Aesthetics, the California company behind CoolSculpting, has had complaints since 2007 but hasn’t done enough to warn people about it.

The company said it stands behind its product.
