ITF men’s Futures tennis: Ramkumar and Hernandez pair win title

Ramkumar Ramanathan put himself in line for a double as he beat Carlos Taberner of Spain 3-6, 7-5, 6-2 in two hours and 49 minutes in the semifinals of the $10,000 ITF men’s Futures tennis tournament on Saturday.

The results: $10,000 ITF men, Lleida, Spain: Semifinals: Ramkumar Ramanathan bt Carlos Taberner (Esp) 3-6, 7-5, 6-2. Quarterfinals: Ramkumar bt David Jorda Sanchis (Esp) 6-3, 6-1.

Doubles (final): David Vega Hernandez (Esp) & Ramkumar Ramanathan bt Carlos Boluda-Purkiss (Esp) & Alex De Minaur (Aus) 6-3, 6-1.

$10,000 ITF men, Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt: Singles (semifinals): Prerna Bhambri bt Ola Abou Zekry (Egy) 7-5, 6-0.
