Daughter of former state PCC chief joins PDP

Srinagar, May 7 (UNI) Daughter of state Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) chief, Ghulam Rasool Kar from the apple township of Sopore in north Kashmir district of Baramulla, joined ruling Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) alongwith her supporters here today.
A PDP spokesperson said Masarat Kar, daughter of Late Kar, joined the partyfold alongwith scores of other women from Sopore in Baramulla.
“She was admitted to partyfold by party General Secretary Nizamudin Bhat and leader of PDP’s women wing Anjum fazili, Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA), at a function at party headquarters here,” he said.
