Kutiyana ex-MLA Bhura Munja dies after brief illness

Rajkot: Former MLA from Ranavav-Kutiyana assembly seat in Porbandar, Bhura Munja Jadeja, passed away at a private hospital in Ahmedabad after a brief illness. He was 62.
According to sources, Bhura Munja's final rites will be performed on Saturday afternoon. The funeral procession will be taken out at 3 pm from his home Suraj Palace on Porbandar.
Bhura Munja is younger brother of the late gangster Sarman Munja Jadeja and brother-in-law of late Santokben Jadeja, better known as 'God Mother'.He was admitted to hospital eight days ago.
He had contested assembly polls as an independent candidate from Ranavav-Kutiyana in 1995 and won.
Bhura Munja and his elder brother Sarman Munja have ruled Porbandar's underworld for long time. His family still has strong-hold in the coastal town of Porbandar.
However, after his brief stint as legislator, Bhura Munja remained away from politics. Presently, late Santokben's son Kandhal Jadeja is MLA from Kutiyana. He is member of the Sharad Pawar-led NCP.
Last week, Bhura Munju's kin were booked under Arms Act after their pictures wielding guns went viral on social media platforms on April 23.
