KJK appeals to PM to implement water management schemes

Kongunadu Jananayaka Katchi leader G.K. Nagaraj on Friday met Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Coimbatore airport and sought the Central Government’s support for implementing various water management schemes. Mr. Modi was in Coimbatore en route to Palakkad to campaign in the Kerala Assembly election. A release said that Mr. Nagaraj appealed to the Prime Minister for Centre’s support in implementing the Pandiyaru - Punnampuzha, Avinashi - Athikadavu and a few other water schemes that were in limbo for long. BJP candidates contesting elections in Coimbatore and the Nilgiris district called on Mr. Modi.
