MUMBAI: A day after a couple was found hanging at their Borivli residence, the police said that losses incurred in business could have very likely driven them to end their lives.
The bodies of Ashok Shah (58) and his wife Ela (54) were found by their son, a doctor, when he returned home around 10pm.
Officials of Borivli police station, said that they do not suspect any foul play in the case.

The couple’s son has, in his statement, to the police, said, “My parents were depressed since they incurred losses in business. Before leaving for my clinic that day, I had comforted them, telling them not to worry about things. When I returned home, I found them hanging.”
A note, purportedly written by them, was found at home. Assistant commissioner of police S Pujari said, “It says no one is responsible [for their deaths].” TNN
