Sanjay Kshetri, district working president of Uttarakhand Kranti Dal (UKD-Airy), said both Congress and BJP had done nothing than fooling the innocent people of the state.

Kshetri, while addressing mediapersons at the party office near the court premises here today, said both national parties, through their anti-people policies, had deceived them. The Congress and the BJP were to be blamed for the present volatile political situation in the state.

The UKD (A), through its programme ‘Uttarakhand Bachao-Uttarakhand Basao’ campaign, was interacting with people directly. The party has received tremendous support so far, indicating that people were disgusted with successive BJP and Congress governments in the state, he claimed.

He said youths were getting attracted towards the UKD and its policies in large numbers. The party membership drive was getting a good response.

Kshetri launched a scathing attack against Mussoorie MLA Ganesh Joshi and said it was unfortunate that Joshi had spent 10 years as MLA of Rajpur and Mussoorie but he had done nothing so far.

The UKD leader said people were fed up with Joshi’s ploy of trying to entice poor people living in slums by giving them a bottle of juice each. Ganesh Joshi had shamed the country first by fighting over the hoisting of national flag at the Gandhi Chowk, Mussoorie, and lately being responsible for killing the police horse Shaktiman. People would give him a befitting reply by defeating him in the next Assembly elections.

Party district president DK PAL, Virendar Singh Bisht, Wahid Khan, Anita Ghimrey, Bahdur Singh Rawat and Anil Dobhal attended the press meeting.
