Matt Ellison agrees to two-year contract extension with HC Dinamo Minsk

MINSK, 6 May (BelTA) – Canadian forward Matt Ellison will continue playing for HC Dinamo Minsk. The Belarusian club reached the agreement to extend the contract of the 32-year-old player to two years, BelTA learnt from the press service of the team.

Matt Ellison scored 60 (25+35) points in the 2014/15 season for the Bisons. Last season the player recorded 55 (26+29) points, receiving the Dinamo Minsk best striker title. The Canadian also registered a number of other achievements last season. In early October Matt Ellison produced a hat-trick to the Avangard net, the first one in the history of Dinamo Minsk. The following match against Barys Astana the player repeated his success. He also scored a record high number of goals (7) in the KHL All Star Game 2016.

Duncan-born player also played for Chicago and Philadelphia in the National Hockey League. After moving to Europe, Matt Ellison played for Dinamo Riga, HC MVD, Torpedo Nizhny Novgorod, Medvescak Zagreb before joining Dinamo Minsk.
