IPL crorepatis who are warming the bench this season

There, however, are others too. Someone who gets picked by a top franchise but fails to get any play time under his belt. This season too has season plenty of such faces. Someone who were sold in crores but continue to warm the bench.

The left handed all-rounder Irfan Pathan is one of those players who has been part of different IPL franchises over the years. In this edition he was picked up by Rising Pune Supergiants team for a sum amount of 1 Cr. Irfan has just played one match for the Pune franchise despite being the leading wicket-taker in 2016 Syed Mushtaq Ali trophy.

The Rajasthan quick bowler Nathu Singh made a buzz when he was snapped by Mumbai Indians for a heavy price of 3.2 crores in this year’s IPL auction. Nathu made his lime-light with figures of 7 for 87 on debut against Delhi in Ranji Trophy 2015-16. The speedster impressed for Board President’s XI too but is yet to break into the MI XI.

The former Chennai Super Kings’ bowler was picked up by Kolkata Knight Riders for an amount of 1.5 Cr. Ankit’s performance in the 2016 Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy was the third highest overall as he picked up 14 scalps. The pacer hasn’t been able to make a place for himself in the KKR playing XI so far in IPL 2016.

Kishore Kamath’s IPL auction story is nothing less than a fairytale. From a base price of 10 lakhs, the leggie was taken up by Mumbai Indians for a whooping price of 1.4 Cr. Surprisingly, Kishore hasn’t been a part of MI’s playing XI squad in this edition of the Indian Premier league.

The wicket-keeper batsman fro Uttar Pradesh is a hard-striker of the ball and has turned tables around for his team on numerous occasions in domestic competitions. The swashbuckling batsman has proved his worth in domestic matches which earned him a place in the IPL 2016’s new team Gujarat Lions. Lions bought the right-handed batsman for a sum of 1 Cr but he hasn’t played a single game for the franchise.
