Dance: Sangeet Bari

The Sangeet Bari show will feature performances by lavani artistes Pushpa Satarkar, Shakuntalabai Nagarkar and Mohanabai Mahalangrekar. Lavani, the traditional Maharashtrian dance form, has seen a revival in the past few years owing largely to the efforts of writer Bhushan Korgaonkar and director Savitri Medhatul. Mahalangrekar is a kalwaat dancer and the protagonist of Korgaonkar’s book Sangeet Bari . The show will include a discussion by Korgaonkar and Medhatul on the dance form.
