Students who appeared for the physics and chemistry papers of the Common Entrance Test on Friday had a mixed response for the papers. While the physics paper was “moderately” tough, students said, they found the chemistry paper “very easy”.
Easy question paper
Many students found the Chemistry paper easy as they had prepared for the exam thrice as the second PU Chemistry paper had leaked twice. “Chemistry was easy because it was theory-based but physics was difficult because it had too many problems to solve,” said Tushar M., MES PU College.
Another student, Amrita P. from Christ Junior College said, “CET exams were much easier as I have been preparing for it. However, time limit for NEET on Sunday was different and it is a higher order exam. At first, it was just an option but now it is the only option and I was not well prepared. It is quite unfair to have a second round of NEET in July as those students have more time to prepare.”
However medical seat aspirants took CET even as they were unsure of the validity of the test and even on Thursday too the apex court did not clarify the validity of the states entrance tests.
Nikita Patil from Chaitanya E-Techno School said, “I think there should be more options available. Just 2 days before the actual exam they announced that only NEET might be counted. NEET is a good idea but at least this year they should consider CET as well as it was a very short notice.”
On Thursday, a total of 1.71 lakh students of the total 1.78 lakh enrolled students appeared for the physics as well as Chemistry papers.
