Learn from Narendra Modi, show degree: Nawab Malik to Vinod Tawde

NCP spokesperson Nawab Malik on Thursday adviced Maharashtra education minister Vinod Tawde to take a cue from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and disclose his degree certificate. Mr Malik has been demanding Mr Tawde’s degree certificate as the minister has mentioned his highest education qualification as BE in his election affidavit.

“Tawde should learn from Prime Minister Narendra Modi and show his education certificate. The RTI query made to chief information commissioner about Modi’s educational qualification was answered. However, our RTI on Tawde’s education has gone unanswered. He has not even cleared his 12th standard,” Mr Malik said.

Mr Tawde has done his BE from Dyaneshwar University which was not recognised by the state government.

The controversy over the educational qualification of Mr Tawde has come back to haunt him after Modi’s MA degree was made public by the Gujarat University recently. Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal had demanded that the details of Modi’s degree certificate be revealed under RTI.
