On this auspicious day, it's good to pray for your own luck, but bringing happiness to someone else, or helping those less fortunate is what makes you realise how lucky you already are.

Anything done on the auspicious day of Akshaya Tritiya will be multiplied, amplified and magnified manifold. Most Indians buy gold, get married and begin new ventures on this day. As for me, I intend to donate utility items such as clothing, books, pens, water and fruits. Also, I'd be partaking in the Lakshmi Puja to be held in my housing society.
